Head Coach Announcement

The Innisfil Spartans Jr. Hockey Club are proud to announce the hiring of our new Head Coach
Ric Jackman!

Ric, who resides locally and now in his retirement from professional hockey, has an exceptional
pedigree within the game. Ric played AAA hockey for the Missisauga Senators before taking his
talents to the OHL with the Soo Grey Hounds. In 1996, Ric was selected 5th overall for the
Dallas Stars NHL Entry Draft. During the 1999 season, he would make his NHL Debut with the
Dallas Stars. Over the course of his professional career he would then play for the Boston
Bruins, Toronto Maple Leafs, Pittsburgh Penguins, Florida Panthers before eventually winning a
Stanley Cup with the Anaheim Ducks.

Ric has been a wonderful influence in the community, sharing his Stanley Cup success. He has
also been active in running hockey clinics and skill development camps for kids in the area. His
experience in both hockey and life will be a valuable asset to our hockey team as we work to
promote the Innisfil Spartans’ culture.

Ric would like to add that he is extremely excited to be a member of the Innisfil Spartans. Ric
plans to have a group of young men that are all focused on one goal bringing a championship to
Innisfil.
